Lesson Day - I'm Not Quitting

 Today we had our lesson! I got to ride with my best friend O and she got to ride Raulf!

Sindri's new halter came in!!!!

We warmed up walking having inside bend on the long sides and outside bend on the short sides to loosen them up. We started to the right and i could tell his left bend was better than the right bend, but his right bend was still good, we changed direction and his left bend was still better but his right bend was getting better each long side so i think he might have been a little stiff.

we trotted both ways working on circles and changes of direction and he was great!

We had a very festive set today!

We cantered individually to the left first adding in two circles and keeping a good inside bend while maintaining consistent pace.

After we cantered we did an exercise similar to the one we did on tuesday but without the diangnal... We trotted down the outside line halted straight picked up left lead canter, cantered the single outside, did a circle at the top and halted straight after the circle.

We did the same thing to the right, but we came around once more to canter the single outside because he took a long the first time.

We finished on that, because the last pole was really good. We walked around in the arena because all the horses saw some very scary deer on the track 😂

I promise I'm not quitting riding I don't think i could ever do that...

I've been thinking of trying a new sport... (Ovb still keep riding) but just for fun! I want to try motocross I think I would enjoy it and it would be good cross training (?) for me to do. I'm always trying to find more things to do bc I only ride 3 days a week so maybe this could be it...! I'm not scared to hit ramps on my bike or jump massive scary things on my horses and i LOVE to go fast so i think I would really enjoy it, I hope to be able to try it sometime soon (maybe after the holidays)
