Four In One

Well it's been a week...

It started off on Thursday - I'm very disappointed in my self about this, but here we go. i was getting Sindri ready for our ride and I groomed and tacked up and every thing seemed fine.

Sindri being adorable as always
After I tacked up me and my sister went to the path to do some fall pictures because the leaves still look really pretty (i'll have another post with those pictures) And then we rode - well kind of - we both got on and walked around and when i asked Sindri to trot he went into it fine but i could tell he was lame... i instantly hopped off and felt both his front legs (I knew it was coming from one of the fronts) no heat... okay... picked up his front left and it looked fine so i went around pick up his front right - waittttt why does it look different so i walk back around a pick up his front left again - he had pulled a shoe. Again very disappointed in my self (all the ponies i ride go barefoot so i'm used to them not having shoes so when he didnt have a shoe on it seemed normal to me) Trust me when i say that will never happen again and I feel so bad for not noticing sooner - his owner put him on the farrier list so he should have a shoe by Thursday (?) I hope... ? I also got to watch one of my best friends ride Cyrus in a show prep lesson and they did super good!!

Friday overall was really good we worked at the barn helping prepare for the hunter show and pulled manes and trimed some of the horses so they would look show ready - i also got to teach my first lesson with the help of my sister - she lead the kid around while i did the lesson, it was quite fun and the kid we taught was pretty good for her level. we worked from 12 to 6 so we got in some good hours and got a lot done.

Saturday was the show (it was hunter finals) and you can guess that it was quite crazy - we were pretty short staffed for the day and I got to be the announcer! It was a fun experience and the judge was super nice, I learned a lot from her and i got to see a lot more than I normally do (including Brooks do a cross rail division with a young rider and Cyrus do novice with one of my best friends)
I have to give a shoutout to K who showed Cyrus because when they went in the ring for their flats Cyrus was acting up a lot, and K normally get really nervous at shows so i think that's why he was acting up but she trotted by the judges stand and i told her to breathe and she did! he calmed down so much and was acting really good, I'm very proud for K for being able to do it.
pretty sunsets

Sunday was our chill day we all slept in for a little bit but it was nice to have a bit of a break

Monday (today) I had my lesson and i rode Eeyore i've ridden him once before but he has been acting up a lot with the kids... rearing and crow hopping. It was his first time jumping in a while so he was very enthusiastic about jumping the tiny flower boxes
He jumped it very.... oddly...?

He was definitely very excited about jumping because he never acts likes this (he also kept trying to swap out). our halts are gorgeous don't you think?
so this happened...

and this....

    1. I can't lie I think the thing I'll miss most about my ponies is that they're barefootπŸ˜‚
