STATE FAIR HERE I COME!

So today I am heading out to the fairgrounds with Brooks to compete in the state fair.... I'm soo excited!!

We just finished loading our tack and the horses and we are currently driving to the fair grounds right now! I've competed at the fairgrounds before with Cyrus (it was disastrous) but that wasn't during the state fair.

Tack is loaded and ready to go 💪🏼

Brooksie is ready to load!

We had minimal (I can't say none) struggles with the trailer... My dad is pulling the trailer for our instructor because it's the state fair and it's crazy but my instructors truck was hooked up to the trailer so my dad had to swap her truck out with ours and if course for the biggest show of the year the cord on the trailer for the emergency brake got caught in between the tailgate and.... The emergency pulled out 🤦🏼‍♀️ but we soon figured out the there was a pin we just had to put back into the emergency brake system so we were all good 😅

On the road and all is great!

The plan for today is to school around 2-3 once we get everything unloaded and the horses settled in there stalls and get all the things set up. I'm guessing after we ride the horses will be getting baths and then being put back in there stalls for the night.

The plan for Friday is similar to todays... we will probably school in the morning between 10-12, baths again after if needed and we will braid our horses if any of them are being braided. later maybe around 5 or 6 they will start our first classes of the weekend -- dressage suitability flat classes -- I have entered  3 dressage classes both walk-trot equitation and under saddle classes as well as the open walk-trot-canter class. after dressage I have 30 minutes to get Brooks changed into his costume for our costume class (I'm the only one from our barn doing it so its going to be very embarrassing)

Saturday the plan has no schooling time just warmup and go into our class type of thing. We have field hunter and hunter over fences classes -- I'm in 3 over fences classes 2' hunter under saddle, 2' equitation over fences, and 2' hunter hack ( if you get a call back for the hunter hack you have to do a flat class but i don't think i will get a callback) and I'm in 3 field hunter classes -- go as you please pony, under saddle, and equitation

Sunday is all flat classes again, the same 3 dressage classes as Friday and the same 3 field hunter classes from Saturday.

Of course Sindri was special and very much had a hay head today before we left so prepare for a cute-ness over load 😌🙌🏼

Cute-ness overload 😌

I am so very excited for this weekend and can't wait to see how it goes!! I probably will be really busy this whole weekend so expect a post about it on either Sunday night or sometime Monday!!
